Nilantra Technologies ("we", "us", "our") develops and operates the Nila Connect mobile application, website pages, API, and related services.

2 Data We Collect
Account details
- Name, username, email address, phone number, and password in protected form
- Profile photo or avatar, if you choose to upload one
- Account type and account status
Business and listing information
- Business name, category, description, address, contact details, photos, offers, jobs, and operating information submitted by business owners or administrators
- Verification or claim details when a business is claimed or reviewed
Content and activity
- Reviews, ratings, posts, comments, photos, reports, favourites, bookmarks, and poll responses
- Job applications and messages you choose to submit through the app
- Searches, viewed items, and other basic app activity used to operate and improve the service
Technical and security data
- IP address, request time, device/app information, and security logs
- Error information needed to maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service
Photos and camera
If you choose to upload an image, the app may ask for camera or photo access. We use that access only for the upload action you start. We do not access your camera or photos in the background.
What we do not collect
- Payment card or banking information
- Contacts, calendar, microphone recordings, or background GPS location
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
- Personal data from children under 13
3 How We Use Your Data
- To create, verify, secure, and manage your account
- To show business listings, reviews, offers, jobs, posts, and other app features
- To process reports, support requests, account deletion requests, and business claims
- To prevent spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorised access, and violations of our Terms
- To maintain, debug, improve, and secure the app and API
- To comply with applicable law and valid legal requests
We do not use your personal data for behavioural advertising or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4 Consent
- When you create an account, you confirm that you have read and agreed to our Terms and this Privacy Policy.
- When you post content, upload photos, submit a job application, report content, or claim a business, you choose to provide that information for that feature.
- You may withdraw consent by deleting your account or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed before the request.
5 Sharing of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only in the following cases:
- Public app features: Reviews, ratings, posts, names, profile photos, and business information may be visible to other users where the feature requires it.
- Business interactions: Job applications, business claims, and business-related submissions may be shared with the relevant business owner or reviewed by our team.
- Service providers: Hosting, email, storage, and infrastructure providers may process data only as needed to operate the service.
- Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, government request, or to protect users, the public, our rights, or the service.
- Business transfer: If our business is merged, sold, or reorganised, data may transfer to the successor subject to this Policy or similar protections.
6 Retention and Account Deletion
- We keep account data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
- When you request account deletion, your account is hidden and app access is disabled immediately.
- Personal account data is scheduled for permanent deletion from the active database within 30 days, unless we must keep limited records for legal, security, fraud prevention, or dispute reasons.
- Public content may be removed, deleted, or anonymised as part of account deletion. Some records may remain in backups for up to 90 days before they are overwritten or purged.
- Security and server logs are normally retained for up to 90 days.
7 Security
Your data is kept encrypted where appropriate. Please keep your login details private and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
8 Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access a summary of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate account information
- Delete your account and personal data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request a copy of your personal data where reasonably available
- Nominate another person to exercise your data rights where applicable under Indian law
Send requests to support@nilaconnect.in from your registered email address. We may ask for verification before acting on a request.
9 Children
Nila Connect is not intended for children under 13. Users must be at least 18 to create an account, or must use the app with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where permitted by law.
If you believe a child has provided personal data without proper consent, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
10 Cookies & Local Storage
The Nila Connect mobile application does not use browser cookies. We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site identifiers.
11 Third-Party Links and Information
The app may show business listings, offers, job posts, external websites, phone numbers, maps, or other third-party information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, accuracy, availability, or actions of third parties.
12 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
13 Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be handled by competent courts in Kerala, India.
